29 Mar

The clock approached 8am…my hands were sweaty and my eyes were bloodshot.  The fluorescent lights above felt like the middle eastern sun on my face.  A TV blurred in the background with another talking head pushing their agenda on the world…and the silence around me was unnerving. But the job still had to be done…I had to finish my bracket

insomnia-computer-flickr-vibrant_artThat’s right, it was early Thursday morning.  Just hours before the tip of the greatest present the Sports Gods have ever given fans:  the first 2 days of the NCAA Tournament.  And I had brackets spread out all over my kitchen table…no, my desk would not hold the 10 or so brackets I had laid out before me.  And now my table was looking like the Situation Room on the West Wing…or maybe the actual Situation Room from the actual White House.  And why 10 brackets?  Well I need my initial bracket, the one I fill out as soon as the Selection Show airs.  Then I need an Upset A and an Upset B bracket.  And don’t forget the Favorites Bracket…you get the point.

As I stared at my already completed brackets, searching for answers, a few Cinderellas, and maybe my dignity, there was still one blank sheet before me.  This was my Best Bracket.  The bracket that I would take into battle with me.  The bracket that I would use to conquer the ridiculous number of pools I was about to enter (don’t worry Government, they are all “just for fun” pools).  One bracket to rule them…ok sorry, I couldn’t resist the obligatory Lord of the Rings reference!

As my half open eyes gazed over the matchups once again, I saw little mascots dancing on my paper, shouting at me like my mother calling me in for dinner when I stayed outside past dark…LOUSIVILE ALL THE WAY, KANSAS WILL GET UPSET, BELMONT AS THE CINDERELLA.

kenny-and-charlesAnd the so called experts that were now circling through my head were just as obnoxious:  GIANT KILLERS, OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS, DEFENSIVE EFFECIENCY, FINAL FOUR PEDIGREE, SIZE, TURNOVERS….Shut up Seth Davis!  Be quiet Doug Gottlieb!  Stop shouting Dickie V!!  Oh great, now the entire TNT crew is there too….make it stop, get Chuck and Kenny out of my head!!!

“Deep breaths, deep breaths” I tell myself.  “You can do this, you have done this about 20 times before.”  Just focus!  I try my best to block out the “experts”.  I try my best to not pick based on my emotions.  I try my best to get that Call Me Maybe song out of my head…not that it’s affecting my bracket, I just get annoyed when that song gets stuck in my head.  So I pick up my pencil, give the sheet a last once over, and I’m off.  Suddenly, the stats and picks I’ve been hearing about all week are starting to make sense.  So place a 1seed here, and a 12seed there.  I’ve got a Big East team dancing through rounds, and a Cinderella wearing the glass slipper past a few favorites.  I’m in the zone and I feel like my father’s son again!  Like I’m writing a mission statement that may get me eliminated early, but is revolutionary…Jerry Maguire style!  Breakdown?  No, breakthrough (thanks Cameron Crowe).

And just like that…its over.  Well….almost over.  Now that I have filled out my bracket, its time for one last check of all my picks.  So I roll over my upsets and my Final Four selections.  I second guess this 12 over a 5 and second guess taking the new “hot” selection that all of the experts are going with…I’m talking to you New Mexico!  And then, it’s a stare down.  One last battle with my bracket.  We stare into each others’ souls…well I stare into its NCAA logo, but my bracket is for sure staring into my soul.  I can feel it judging me…laughing at me…questioning my every pick.  But there is no time for a hearT to heart with my bracket.  For one, it’s a piece of paper, so I probably need to remember that.  But more importantly, I give my watch a quick glance and realize the deadline to enter my picks is just minutes away.  So I log on, enter the picks in all of my pools, and click that horrific button that brings fear in the hearts of all men everywhere…the save button!  Entries complete, time to start the tourney.  Life is good…but then an Elite 8 pick is out before things get going…and the 2nd guessing starts all over again…

Top-10Back with another Tuesday Top 10!!  This week I thought we would look at the most underrated players in the NBA.  This list is based on skill and what the player brings to his team.  You cannot get on this list for having a crazy beard, a few strange neck tattoos, or by putting together an unexpected 50-point scoring effort….sorry Willie Burton (1994-76ers).  Also, we are going old school for this list!  No analytical stats that will make you break out your TI83 just to keep up.  No graphs or charts.  Just looking at the old stats we grew up with and using the good old eye test.  So enjoy the list and be sure to tell me who makes your Top 10!!

Paul George, Rodrigue BeauboisPAUL GEORGE – PACERS:  George is definitely one of the breakout young  starts of the NBA.  He is thriving in his new team-leader role this season as the Pacers look like the 2nd best team in the East.  The 6’8 SF, has shown great versatility by dishing out a career high 4.0apg.

jarrett jack

JARRETT JACK – WARRIORS:  Jack has emerged as one of, if not the best backup PG in the league for the fun to watch Dubs.  He is only 1 of 3 PG’s in the league to shoot over 45% from the floor, 40% from three, and 84% from the line.

mike conleyMIKE CONLEY – GRIZZLIES:  Conley is the floor general for one of the top teams in the West.  The 6th year guard is also second in the league in steals and has been clutch in crunch time.

Vasquez_Greivis_noh_121119GREIVIS VASQUEZ – HORNETS:  Raise your hand if you ever thought Vasquez would be a significant rotation player in the league…anyone…anyone…exactly.  Yes, he is on a bad Hornets team, but Greivis is 21st in the league in double-doubles and 2nd in the league in assists.  Those are stats you can’t ignore!

thaddeus-youngTHADDEUS YOUNG – 76ERS:  One of only 5 SF in the league to average 15ppg and 7rpg.  The athletic Young will only get better if he can work on his 3 point shot.

chandler parsonsCHANDLER PARSONS – ROCKETS:  Parsons has busted onto the scene as one of the best 2nd round picks (38th overall) in recent memory.  The 2nd year forward is doing a little bit of everything as the Rockets look to lock up a playoff spot in the West.  Parsons is one of only 4 Forwards to average over 15ppg, 5rpg, and 3.5apg…the other three:  Pierce, LeBron, and Durant.

nik vucevicNIKOLA VUCEVIC – MAGIC:  With Shaq and D12 both having been shipped out of Orlando, most Magic fans thought they would never get a another quality big man again.  Enter Nikola Vucevic.  The 2nd year big man has not only displayed a fearless persona on the floor, but Nik ranks 6th in the league in double-doubles and 4th in rpg.  Looks like Orlando has found another big man to anchor the paint for years to come.

Nicolas-BatumNICOLAS BATUM – BLAZERS:  Name the only two players in the NBA to average 1bpg, 1spg, 5apg, 5rpg, and 14ppg….yes of course LeBron is one….but the other is Nicolas Batum!  Versatility galore with the 5th year SF who is also shooting 37% from the 3 point line!

lamarcus aldridgeLAMARCUS ALDRIDGE – BLAZERS:  Yes, Aldridge is an all-star.  Yes, he is popular.  But LaMarcus is having a career year, has Portland just 2.5 out of the 8th spot, and is the only player in the NBA average over 20ppg and 9rpg.  We should be hearing more about this Blazer!

spencer hawesSPENCER HAWES – 76ERS:  If you play fantasy basketball, you know Hawes was close to fantasy gold from 2008-2010.  The big man gave your team points, block, assists, steals, and 3’s…all from the center position.  Well after two seasons of low numbers and injuries, Spencer is back to his old, versatile center self.  Philly’s starting center is averaging a crazy 13.6ppg, 9.3rpg, 3.6apg, 2.1bpg in March.  And his 5 made three pointers this month make this 24 year old a player with true all-star potential.

Top-10Tuesday Top 10!!

Let’s take a journey…a journey back to a decade that saw MJ running with his Bulls to NBA glory.  A decade that made it cool to wear neon colored clothes.  I’m talking about a decade that gave us TGIF every Friday night on ABC!tgif_horizontal  Shout out to Topanga!  A decade that brought us the Reebok Pumps!  And yes, you could jump higher if you pumped them up.  A decade that gave us The Real World before “when people start gettin real” meant drunken hook-ups, slaps across the face, and Vegas jacuzzi endeavors.  Any guess on the decade???  That’s right kids…the 90’s!!

What a great decade.  Great sports, culture, t.v. and movies…..ok, so maybe a horrible decade for all of that stuff depending on how you look at it.  But regardless, one great thing the 90’s gave us was great rap music.  The 90’s featured so many legendary hip hop artists in their prime.  We had Biggie, Pac, Outkast, Wu-Tang Clan, Jay-Z….and it goes on and on.  So, without wasting time….this week’s Tuesday Top 10 features what I think are the Top 10 Rap Songs of the 90’s!!

biggie smallsJUICY – Notorius B.I.G.:  Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis…come on!!  Definitely of the greatest rap songs of all time!!

GIMME SOME MORE – Busta Rhyhmes:  Any track that uses a Bernard Hermann song gets on one of my lists.  And for this one, Busta chose Hermann’s main theme from Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho.  Bussa Bus, Bernard Hermann, Alfred Hitchock…that’s either a seriously strange dinner party or an legendary hip hop musical concoction.

GIN & JUICE – Snoop Dogg:  Who doesn’t know this song and who doesn’t love it???  Party anthem, summer jam, whatever; this song is a staple!

REGULATE – Warren G (feat. Nate Dogg):  Gotta love the skills of DJ Warren G back by the unmistakable vocals of the late, great Nate Dogg. warren g If you grew up in the 90’s, this was the jam!  Oh, and its from Above the Rim!!

IF I RULED THE WORLD – NAS (feat. Lauryn Hill):  The combination of the piano, NAS and L. Hill make this track epic.

YOU’RE ALL I NEED – Method Man (feat. Mary J. Blige):  Great video for this song.  Method Man and Mary J with the head bobbin’.

method man and mary j. blige

QUIET STORM – Mobb Deep:  When the bass kick in to this dark, underappreciated track…just listen…you’ll get it.

TENNESSEE – Arrested Development:  AD was a staple of the 90’s…well ok, they had two hits really…but they were great. Mr. Wendal was the highlight, but Tennessee was legendary.  “A game of horseshoes”!

2pac and dr dreCALIFORNIA LOVE – 2pac (feat. Dr. Dre & Roger Troutman):  Pac and Dre killing it!  This might be thee party hip hop song of the 90’s.  Make sure you go back and listen to the LP version to hear Roger Troutman dominating that talkbox:  “talking bout an earthquake on the Richter scale…..”.

IT WAS A GOOD DAY – Ice Cube:  This is just a feel good track.  Props to Cube for backing it with the Isley Brother’s Footsteps in the Dark.

*Of course, here are the songs that just missed the list but I had to mention them:  Victory (Puff Daddy, feat. Notorious BIG & Busta Rhymes), Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang (Dr. Dre, feat. Snoop Dogg), Survival of the Fittest (Mobb Deep), Wheelz of Steel – or any Outkast song, Get Money (Junior M.A.F.I.A.), C.R.E.A.M. (Wu-Tang Clan), Gangsta’s Paradise (Coolio, feat. L7), O.P.P. (Naughty by Nature), It’s All About the Benjamins (Puff Daddy, Lil Kim, The LOX, Notorious BIG) (rock version is crazy), Now That We Found Love (Heavy D & Th Boyz), and pick a song from Jay-Z’s third or fourth albums.

film reelSo all over the old internet machine, you can find websites and individuals listing cool, low budget  films that they think you should see.  Well, I thought I would add my own list to the pile.

Basically these are 10 films that I have seen, that you may or may not have heard of, and that are under the radar.  I guess you could call them indie films.  But whatever you call them, these are films that I think you must see!!  I’m not talking about films like Pulp Fiction, but films like Chris Nolan’s Following.  Don’t  just think low budget like Mean Streets, but think under the radar like the foreign film The Secrets in Their Eyes.

Now, I do realize that there are a lot more small budget, life changing films out there in addition to my list of 10.  But these are 10 that I recommend (I have more than 10, but I think we might all get bored if I take the list to 100).   So, here in no particular order, are 10 (not a top 10, but just a list of 10) of my favorite under the radar, small budget, indie, whatever else you might call them films.  I’ve added a little bit on each of them, without getting too technical since I’m not really Siskel or Ebert.  Let me know what some of your favorites are…either from this list or your own additions..what’s better than discovering great, new films?!

swingersSWINGERS:  One of my favorites movies off all time.  I could quote this flick with my friends for hours…and as annoying as it is for other people, we usually do!  “You’re so money and you don’t even know it!”

y_tu_mama_tambien1Y TU MAMA TAMBIEN:  A great foreign film from Mexico, directed by Alfonso Cuaron.  Diego Luna and Gael Garcia Bernal take their crush to on a roadtrip to find a hidden beach.

CITY OF GOD:  city of godA gritty, foreign film based on living in the slums of Rio.  In my opinion, one of the best films ever.  Great mix of beautiful visual look/style, guns, violence, love, drugs, and realism.

leon the professional

LEON:  THE PROFESSIONAL:  The great Jean Reno and a young Natalie Portman star in this film about a hitman the girl he protects.  Watch for a terribly underrated, but always amazing Gary Oldman.

oldboy-1OLDBOY:  A great film from Korea.  This one centers on a who is kidnapped for 15 years, and then released.  Don’t wan to give away too much, but there are some twisted plots and amazing shots.  Basically just a really cool movie…watch for the American remake to hit theaters in October…with Josh Brolin (not cool) and Spike Lee directing (wow!).

mementoMEMENTO:  One of the coolest movies out there…great story told in reverse…sort of.  Make sure you see this one, and pay attention!  You know it has to be good if Christopher Nolan directed it!

a single man

A SINGLE MAN:  Ok, so this one might not be that under the radar…but it could be.  This film stars the terrific Colin Firth and is directed by fashion designer Tom Ford.  It might be a bit slow, but its just a beautiful movie with great acting.

garden stateGARDEN STATE:  Basically if you are between the ages of 21-35 you have seen this movie…and loved it.  One of those movies, with Zach Braff and Natalie Portman, that you could watch over and over again…and with a crazy good indie soundtrack.  Watch it, and tell me how you could not love this movie!

lost_in_translation_2003_6LOST IN TRANSLATION:  Ok, so I sneaked in another one…everyone might have seen this, but I couldn’t resist.  Bill Murray and Scar Jo at their best.  Great soundtrack, great Sofia Coppola writing/directing, and set among a beautiful Japan landscape.  Plus, Anna Faris is hilarious!

a separation

A SEPARATION:  I can’t say enough about this foreign film from Iran.  It has some of the best writing and acting you will ever see…just amazing.  Watch it as soon as you can!

*Sorry, I just couldn’t resist adding a list of “just missed the cut”:  The Crow, Ruby Sparks, The Secret in Their Eyes, Beasts of the Southern Wild, The Descent, High Fidelity, Talk to Her (Hable con Ella), Winter’s Bone, Requiem for a Dream, Reservoir Dogs (obviously not under the radar).

nba-logoIt’s time for my first Tuesday Top Ten!  Excited?  Yeah, probably not…but stay with me!   So for my first list, I thought we could jump into a little debate and put together a list of the top 10 players in the NBA right now.  It’s a pretty simple list really….no gimmicks, no analytics; just the players that I think represent the top 10 of the league.  So, in no particular order, I give you my top 10:

Top-10LEBRON JAMES – MIAMI HEAT:  Best player in the game…period.

KOBE BRYANT – LAKERS:  Still getting it done and is still the best closer in the league.

KEVIN DURANT – OKC THUNDER:  Most talented scorer in the league with an underrated all-around game.

DWIGHT HOWARD – LAKERS:  Down year can be attributed to injuries.  Still a force on D and the best C in the game.

JAMES HARDEN – ROCKETS:  From 3rd option in OKC to one of the most versatile, gifted scorers in the league!

KEVIN LOVE – TIMBERWOLVES:  Injuries have limited him lately, but a 20/13 PF that shoots 35% from 3…wow!

DERRICK ROSE – BULLS:  If he is the same pre ACL, then he’s still the fastest penetrator and maybe best finisher in league.

CHRIS PAUL – CLIPPERS:  Made the Clips one of the top teams in the league…that’s it…and also best pure pg in the game.

RUSSELL WESTBROOK – OKC:  Crazy stats for KD35’s running mate.  Probably the fastest player, end-to-end, in the game.

CARMELO ANTHONY – KNICKS:  Takes lots of heat but one of the most gifted scorers.  Has Knicks as possible contenders.

*Just missed the cut:  Dwyane Wade, Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, Steph Curry, LeMarcus Aldridge, Rajon Rondo

*Future top 10 or back to top 10 level:  Paul George, Deron Williams, Brandon Jennings, Andrew Bynum, Kyrie Irving, Blake Griffin, Marc Gasol, Demarcus Cousins

cld summer 2011

This spring will bring an infusion of blockbuster movie muscle with releases such as Jack the Giant Slayer, Oz the Great and Powerful, G.I. Joe:  Retaliation, The Place Beyond the Pines, Oblivion, To the Wonder and The Big Wedding.  But the real, over the top, world ending, theater shaking, life changing blockbuster won’t begin to roll out until the summer.  And although the summer technically starts on June 21, the box office summer begins with the start of May (at least to me it does).  So let’s take a look at all the upcoming summer blockbuster releases of 2013:

May gets things started with the release of 6 potential blockbuster hits.  Iron Man 3 kicks things off with the return of Tony Stark and his iron suit of sarcastic wit, charm and earth saving abilities.  IM3 is followed by Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby.  The Leo DiCaprio vehicle could also feature some early favorites for Oscar noms.  The latest installment of J.J. Abrams’ rebooted Star Trek franchise also hits theaters in May with Star Trek Into Darkness.  The final three blockbusters of May include the animated Epic, a sixth film in the Fast and Furious franchise (Fast 6), and the somewhat anticipated Hangover Part III.  May appears to be packed with films that everyone can enjoy.

Iron_Man-7Of all the films coming out this summer, Iron Man 3 is sure to be one of the most entertaining.  Yes, we have been doing the superheroes thing to death the last several years, but IM3’s Robert Downey Jr.  seems to be at the top of his game in this role, and his antics never grow tiresome.  With cast additions that include Oscar winner Ben Kingsley and the underrated Guy Pearce, Iron Man 3 looks like it might be able to do what few franchises can:  deliver for a third time!

Directed by Baz Luhrmann  Gatsby will definitely be beautifully stylized and exceptionally well acted.  With a cast anchored by the three-time Oscar nominated Leo DiCaprio, F. Scott Fitzgerald’ s classic greatgatsby novel is sure to come to life on the big screen with Luhrmann at the helm.  While we can’t expect car chases, explosions, or Bay-life special effects, Gatsby, for the acting and directing alone, is a film that I cannot wait to see!

Space, the final frontier…but hopefully not the final Star Trek film!  J.J. Abrams and the crew of the Starship Enterprise are back and ready to boldly go where no man has gone before!  Ok, enough of the Star Trek play on words…sorry!  Star Trek Into Darkness, the 12th installment in the Star Trek film franchise, also hits theaters in May.  Abrams, directing again, did a great job in relaunching the Star Trek series with his 2009 project.  That film reintroduced us to the beloved Star Trek characters and even featured a star-trek-into-the-darkness-plot-officially-revealedgreat Leonard Nimoy as the future, old Spock from the past or future…or…ok, you get the point.  I thought ’09’s Star Trek did a great job in pulling in a new generation of fans.  With stars like Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, Zachary Quinto and Harold…er John Cho, Abrams made it cool to be a Trekky again!  With the same writers, director and stars, the newest Star Trek will most definitely be a fun, space exploring adventure….and with my man J.J. leading the way, I think we can expect a fun, intelligent, summer action flick!

Epic, a fun, 3D animated film about the secrets of the forest, includes an all-star cast that is sure to entertain kids and parent alike.epic-post-21  I’m not sure if I will shell out the $10+ to catch this in the theater, but how great would it be to hear the great Christoph Waltz voice the villain??  Positioned as a fun, Avatar like animated flick, Epic should be fun for the kids, but I think I’ll be staying home for this one, but a possible Redbox grab could happen.

Fast-and-furious-6-set-pictures (2)Fast 6 will be a blood-pressure raising action ride from start to finish and feature a great action based cast that includes the return of a team member from the past.  Fast 6, it appears, will continue the franchise’s transition from street racing themed, to action-heist.  I’m not totally sure how many times we can watch Paul Walker and Vin Diesel play this game, but I’m willing to give this one a shot.  I mean it’s gotta be better than Tokyo Drift, so at least we’re safe there.

Then, on Memorial Day Weekend, strap the kids in the car and head over to the local cineplex for what is sure to be the family feel good movie of….wait wait….scratch that, scratch that…better put the kids to bed early because the Wolfpack is Back!  That’s right, The Hangover Part III opens on the holiday weekend and is being called “the epic conclusion to the trilogy”.  From what we can see, all your old favorites are back for another Vegas run around (probably no Baby Carlos though); including the incomparable Ken Jeong as Mr. Chow and “Iron” Mike Tyson in a role that only he could play….Mike Tyson.  Here’s hoping we get another Phil Collins song out of Mike…maybe “Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)” or Su Su “Sussudio”.  The-Hangover-Trailer-the-hangover-6895791-1920-800Not too much of the storyline can be guessed from the trailer.  But when referring to the Hangover series, this much we know will happen:  Zach Galifianakis and his beard will be ridiculous, Ed Helms’ character will cry and scream and probably end up with something crazy happening to him by the end, Bradley Cooper’s Phil will yell at someone, and Ken Jeong is sure to get naked…probably more than once.  Whereas part two of this trilogy felt like a repeat of the original (but with a new location), I am hoping that director Todd Phillips has some new tricks up his sleeve.  I would have to think that with the cast of the Hangover all very hot right now, this film would have to be more original and just way more excellent than the 2nd one for them all to return for a third helping of hangovers.  Although I am a little hesitant because of the repetitive nature of part 2 (I mean how many times and in how many cities can these guys lose someone and end up with scandalous strippers?), I do have faith in this cast and this director.  I think we are in for a good show with part 3.  It won’t be Dark Knight Rises or LOTR part 3 good, but this film will be just like Alan’s beard…bushy, versatile, something you can’t help but star out, and a solid good time for all.

Enjoy the blockbusters of May!

$1,000,000 TO DUNK???

4 Mar

So it has come to this…in order for the once great NBA Slam Dunk Contest to get great players, a hall of famer has to offer a $1,000,000 prize to the winner!  The NBA dunk contest, once a highlight of the season, has turned into a showcase of young, bench-warming players (not all) trying to either do dunks they have no chance of completing, or trying past legendary dunks the NBA makes them do (ever hear of originality NBA?).  I actually never thought I would be more excited to see if a 53 year old Dominique Wilkins could hit a half court shot faster than the 5’3 Mugsy Bogues.  But that is what the NBA Slam Dunk Contest has come to.

Although this year’s contest was marginally better than contests of the recent past, casual and die-hard fans alike are calling for the league’s true superstars to take part in this once superstar event.  NBA fans want to see Dwight Howard putting stickers on the top of the backboard, not flip through an NBA media guide to find out who Jeremy Evans is.  Fans want to see Blake Griffin jump over a KIA, not see a way over-hyped Shannon Brown fizzle out with a last place tying score of 78.  Now to be fair, recent dunk contests have featured some exciting young NBA players such as Demar Derozan, Serge Ibaka, former champ Gerald Green and of course Blake Griffin.  But the fans want to see the game’s true stars.

I get it.  I understand it’s a tiring event that could possibly lead to injury.  But can you name any player that missed significant time or saw their play drop off because they took part in the contest?  Neither can I!  When did ball players become afraid of playing ball?

Well, cue in Magic Johnson.  Like the fans, Magic has had enough.  He is sick and tired of watching the young, supposed up-and-comers do damage to the legacy of the contest.  So Magic has offered a $1,000,000 prize to LeBron James, or whomever can defeat  him in the contest.   Wow!  $1,000,000 just to dunk a basketball for what ultimately turns out to be a few minutes.   Very sad that it has come to this.  A game, that thanks to its fans is popular, thriving and able to pay players millions, can no longer give the fans what they want…unless more money is thrown the players way.  What happened to the days that Michael Jordan, Dominique Wilkins, Vince Carter, and even Dr. J would roam the skies of the dunk contest and thrill the fans with 50’s?  These players were at the top of their games (or almost), and wanted to participate.  They didn’t need the promise of $1 million.  All they needed was a full arena and a chance to wow the world with their crowd pleasing, gravity defying dunking and they were in.

So how about it NBA All-Stars?  How about giving back to the fans of the NBA?  The fans that just want to see you dunk!  Sure we can get over that you are only doing it for Magic’s million…because we just want the NBA Slam Dunk Contest to do what it once did…amaze us, get us out of our seats and let us really mean it when we hold up that paper 10.

So LeBron, Blake, Dwight,  Russell, KD35 and other high-flying all-stars – take Magic’s millions!  Have some other company donate another $1,000,000 to charity.  Pump up your kicks, pull out the cars, dust off that cape and measure up that free throw line…its time to get out and dunk!
